Anchored Together is a one-day conference that offers an honest look at how faith and family can endure the storms of mental illness. With warmth vulnerability Tammy Westergaard shares her family’s journey—a story shaped by struggle and the steadfast presence of Christ. Instead of focusing only on moments of crisis, she helps participants see how to live faithfully in the ongoing reality of mental illness, offering practical insight and encouragement to trust God, lean on others, and hold fast to hope. This event is designed to remind families they are not alone, and to anchor hearts in the unshakable truth that Christ remains steady—even when life feels anything but.

Our Sessions

When the Storm Hits Home

Every journey begins with a story. Tammy shares her family’s path through bipolar disorder, teenage depression, anxiety, and self-harm. She offers an honest look at what it means when mental illness enters the home, explains why she feels called to speak on this subject, and reflects on how acknowledging the struggle is the first step toward healing.

Beneath the Surface—Life Beyond the Crisis

Mental illness doesn’t disappear when the crisis passes. Tammy explores what life looks like in the ongoing, everyday reality—when things may appear normal on the outside, but challenges continue beneath the surface. She reflects on how to walk faithfully through both the hard and hopeful days of this lifelong journey.

Anchored in Hope—Christ in the Midst of the Weight

Some of the hardest days became the sweetest for Tammy because they pressed her to lean fully on Jesus. In this closing session, Tammy reflects on the presence of Christ in the darkest valleys, the gift of allowing others to walk alongside us, and the unshakable hope that anchors us when everything else feels uncertain.
